Telx Simplifies Interconnection Services - Telx has launched the Connect Portfolio, a family of scalable interconnection service options for quickly establishing data center, IT, cloud or point of presence (PoP) colocation infrastructures. The Connect Portfolio gives customers connectivity choice in all 17 of Telx-operated C3 Cloud Connection Centers. “Telx’s interconnection services have helped our company expand our business model and explore new revenue opportunities,” said Kevin Coyne, president and chief operating officer of FiberLight. The Connect Portfolio provides connectivity options and purpose-built communities tailored to meet the needs of communications service providers, financial markets firms, enterprise data networks, carrier transport networks and cloud architectures.
NaviSite Introduces Enterprise Desktop-as-a-Service - Managed hosting provider NaviSite has introduced a cloud-based Desktop-as-a-Services (DaaS) offering that enables IT organizations to deliver virtual desktop services to local and remote users from the cloud with an increased level of security and management and the same functionality as traditional desktops. NaviSite’s DaaS offering, powered by the NaviCloud platform and Desktone, a desktop-as-a-service pioneer, provides IT departments the ability to add or remove desktops quickly and securely while avoiding the costs associated with frequent technology change. Cross River Fiber Completes Carteret-Newark Fiber - Cross River Fiber, a New Jersey-based, boutique dark fiber optic provide has completed a fiber network route between 1400 Federal Boulevard in Carteret and 165 Halsey Street in Newark, New Jersey. This newly constructed network represents the most diverse and shortest linear fiber distance, which is 23.25 kilometers, between two key carrier hotels servicing the financial services markets. Cross River Fiber designs, constructs and manages carrier independent dark fiber routes throughout New Jersey. The new fiber network between Carteret and Newark is the first completed route of Cross River Fiber’s ultra low latency dark fiber network currently under construction in the Garden State.
