Whether you’re managing clusters of servers, a data center network, or a cooling plant, the question of security looms larger than ever for the data center industry.

We’ve seen the ugly fallout from high-profile breaches of corporate and government networks in recent years: hundreds of millions in lost revenue, forced exits of C-level tech execs, the most sensitive personal data of millions of citizens stolen by hackers.

The threats aren’t limited to potential exposure of sensitive information. The tools developed by private hackers and nation states to damage industrial systems can be applied to underlying data center infrastructure to bring down entire computing facilities.

Power supplies, cooling systems, and security systems themselves can serve as entry points for attackers.

We know for a fact that our readers care a lot about security. In responses to DCK’s most recent audience survey, security was by far the most cited data center-related challenge facing the readers’ organizations.

As the cat-and-mouse game of cybersecurity heats up, we decided to survey our readers to take a pulse on the state of security in their organizations as it relates to data centers.

Once the survey is complete, we will share the results with the community in hopes of helping data center owners, users, and operators sharpen focus in their efforts to protect their organizations’ most valuable assets.

Please take a moment to fill out the survey. It shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes of your time. All responses will be kept strictly confidential and used only in combination with answers from other respondents.

As an additional incentive, each survey respondent will be entered into a drawing for one of five $100 Amazon gift cards.

Thank you so much for reading and for helping us take the industry's pulse on data center security!
