Video: Intel's Air-Side Economization Test

Intel data center manager Don Atwood provides an overview of the company's proof of concept research on air-side economizers (using outside air to cool the data center). He describes Intel's New Mexico testbed for its 10-month proof-of-concept, which it found "no consistent increase in server failure rates as a result of the greater variation in temperature and humidity, and the decrease in air quality."
