Securus Leases Dallas Data Center

Securus Technologies Inc. has signed a lease for 28,400 square feet of data center space in Dallas.

Securus Technologies Inc. has signed a lease for 28,400 square feet of space at Metroplex Center 1 (3000 Kellway Drive) in Carrollton, Texas (Dallas market). The company will use the space for a data center, taking advantage of the building's sturdy electrical infrastructure, which includes dual power feeds and a 2 megawatt generator.

Securus provides IT services to more 3,100 correctional facilities in 49 states, offering software solutions for jail management and records management. Securus was formed by the merger of two companies serving the law enforcement technology sector, Evercom Systems and T-NETIX.


Metroplex Center 1 was developed in 1999 and is owned by Today Realty Advisors of Dallas. Securus is the fourth tenant in the 106,000 square foot building, joining Irvine, CA-based LA Fitness International LLC, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Inc. of Lexington, KY. and Pennsylvania-based ICT Group Inc.

The new data ce nter will be closer to Securus' headquarters at 14561 Dallas Parkway in north Dallas than the company's existing data center, which is in the Freeport section of Irving, Texas.
