In yet another indicator of the robust demand for data center space, Dallas-based data center services provider Dataside said last week that it had leased an entire 20,000 square foot data center to a single customer. Dataside, previously known as Collocation Solutions, said it couldn't disclose the identity of the customer or location of the lease due to confidentiality agreements, aside from noting that the client is a Fortune 500 company.
"This significant agreement takes us to a to new plateau, and I fully expect it to be the first of many more to come in the future," said Jim deVenny President & CEO of Dataside. "This new contract is an outstanding example of our company's capability to bring tailored data center solutions on a large-scale basis to a discriminating enterprise clientele."
In April Dataside announced its expansion into the company's fifth data center to accommodate their growing needs for enterprise space. The 40,000 square foot facility is in the Dallas market, where Dataside is based. The company now has data centers located in Dallas, Austin, and Las Vegas.
