Here’s our review of some of this week’s noteworthy links for the data center industry:

Lunarpages expands with Latisys. Latisys announced that Web hosting firm Lunarpages, a leading provider of fully managed web hosting services with over 150,000 customers, has expanded its presence on the Latisys platform at the Irvine, California data center campus by an additional 3,500 square feet of high density colocation space. Lunarpages turned to Latisys in 2009 for colocation and managed services, and with customer and application growth the Irvine data center will be leveraged to meet expansion needs. LunarPages will be housed in OC2, the 93,000 square foot Latisys addition launched in fall 2011. “Lunarpages has built a reputation for delivering secure and reliable hosting, and expanding their presence at Latisys’ Irvine data center campus demonstrates our flexible approach to IT infrastructure services is truly resonating with the dynamic needs of web hosting providers – and their customers,” said Tom Panarisi, Regional VP, West for Latisys. “By offering a full range of services from colocation to cloud, we hope to continue to enhance our relationship with Lunarpages to not only support its growth, but further enable it.”

Equinix selected by Front Porch Digital.  Equinix (EQIX) announced that content storage management (CSM) provider Front Porch Digital has selected Equinix to house its new cloud solution platform known as LYNX. Located in the Equinix London (LD5) facility Front Porch Digital will move its video archive, migration and online video publishing solutions to cloud-based solutions. “We chose to move our solutions into Equinix’s LD5 data center as it provides the right resources in the right location,” said Front Porch Digital president and CEO Mike Knaisch. “Our LYNX  platform is the first enterprise CSM solution in the content and digital media industry to embrace the cloud. Our first concern was security, and here Equinix excelled above almost every facility reviewed. Equinix was the only facility which stood head and shoulders above all others. We were also impressed with the vibrant content and digital media ecosystem within Equinix, which we are planning to take advantage of by connecting  more widely to both existing customers and other potential business partners.”

Savvis selected by FXall.  Savvis, a CenturyLink (CTL) company announced that FXall, a leading independent electronic foreign exchange platform, has renewed its hosting and infrastructure services agreement with Savvis and will take additional data center space to accommodate client demand and ongoing market growth. FXall will be located in Savvis' NJ2 data center complex in Weehawken, New Jersey. "Hosting our matching engine in Savvis' data center allows us to streamline the process of connecting to our trading partners and clients to deliver ultra-low-latency connectivity, while leveraging a market-leading IT infrastructure service," said Steve Rubinow, chief information officer for FXall.
