The "PowerHouse" by Active Power is a modular facility unit which contains all the power gear to power up a data center.

Active Power brought its "PowerHouse" modular unit to the Modular Data Center Campus as part of the Uptime Institute Symposium 2012 in Santa Clara, Calif. for demonstrations and tours. The PowerHouse system, a modular power infrastructure solution, is available in increments from 240 kW to 960 kW, and contains critical power infrastructure components, including a generator, in a single purpose-built enclosure. The fuel for the generator can be store in a tank below the unit floor and the unit can be hooked up to tanker delivery trucks as more fuel is needed. The units are pre-fabricated and pre-commissioned prior to deployment. In the video, Todd Kiehn, director, Product Management, for Active Power, gives a tour of the PowerHouse.

For a look at all four of the modules on display at Uptime, see Modular Monday: A Closer Look at Four Offerings.
