Software to track and manage energy use is an active sector of the data center market. One new player in this market is JouleX, which has developed an agentless system that detects devices on IP networks and their energy usage. At the recent Data Center World conference, Mark Davidson of JouleX told us about the company and demonstrated the software and some of its capabilities. This video runs about 12 minutes.
