Definition of Virtualization - Data Center Glossary


Virtualization is the process of simulating the functions of servers and other data center machines to improve utilization and efficiency. In a virtual environment, it is possible for one computer to run multiple operating systems and various applications at the same time, increasing the usability and flexibility of that single computer.
