Telx Breaks Ground on $200M NJ Cloud Hub

Colocation and interconnection provider Telx broke ground Friday on its new $200 million data center facility in Clifton, New Jersey, which will provide the company with high-density space to support its expansion in the greater New York market.

Construction on Telx's new cloud connection center at Two Peekay Drive will add 250 people to the New Jersey workforce. The three-story facility adds 215,000 gross square feet of high-density, energy efficient space and more than 100,000 square feet of customizable colocation space for customers with heavy networking requiremets.

Telx is partnering with Mountain Development Corporation on the project. Mountain Development Corp. Telx operates 17 Cloud Connection Centers in major North American markets. It has more than 1,000 customers, including leading telecommunications carriers, ISPs, cloud providers, content providers and enterprises.
