Dedicated server and cloud hosting provider SingleHop has been a major provider in the Chicago area. This week the company announced its first geographic expansion with a new data center in Phoenix.

“We are thrilled with the opportunity to open a data center within the Phoenix community," said Zak Boca, Chief Executive Officer of SingleHop. "The location, size, and capabilities of this facility are all important steps in the rapid growth of our company.”

SingleHop said its new Phoenix data center is a certified Tier IIIT facility with SSAE 16 Type 2 Certification, and will house servers managed by its LEAP hosting automation system.

“Our LEAP platform will give customers yet another choice when deploying infrastructure," said Marc Bollinger, Senior Project Manager. "Now in addition to customizing the hardware, software, managed services of the device, they will be able to choose the physical location both for our dedicated servers and cloud hosting services.”

SingleHop was established in 2006 and makes its home in Chicago, where it operates two data centers housing more than 10,000 servers online. The company, which has clients in 114 countries, was ranked 25th on the Inc. 500 list for the fastest growing companies in America in 2011.
