This video tour of the QTS (Quality Technology Services) Richmond Data Center gives an overview of the 1.3 million square-foot, 100 MW data center campus in Richmond. This Monday, the company opened 50,000 square-foot first phase of development, which offers customers up to 18 megawatts of power. The project is a retrofit of the former Qimonda semiconductor plant, which QTS purchased in a bankruptcy court sale in early 2011. QTS used the plant's existing infrastructure that includes 22,000 tons of chiller capacity on site and a campus-wide power capacity of 100 megawatts. QTS will offer custom data suites from 1,000 to 50,000 square feet, as well as cloud, colocation and managed service options. This video runs about 2 minutes, 45 seconds.
