The first day of the Open Compute Project Summit IV drew a crowd of 1,900 hardware and technology professionals to the Santa Clara Convention Center. And there was buzz among the group about the technological innovations. The Open Compute (OCP) Project is now in its second year and its emphasis is advancing technologies and releasing the designs as open hardware, with the aim is to improve servers and change data centers.
