It’s Finally Friday: ‘Modular’ Cartoon Caption Contest
Happy Friday! We have made it to the end of the week. We hope you feel the relief that we do. The end of the shift is coming.
Congratulations to Rico (Luis) who won the previous cartoon contest suggesting a caption for The View from 3 AM cartoon with “..This is a status call to let you know we still haven’t found the problem with the circuit. Will call you back in 30 minutes. . .”
About this week’s cartoon, our artist writes: “Is a modular data center green? I think so! Well in this comic anyway… I decided to combine the flexibility of a modular data center and the demand of going green and Viola!”
Below is another cartoon for our caption contest where we provide the cartoon by Diane Alber, our data center cartoonist who draws Kip and Gary, and you, our readers, can submit the caption. We will then choose three finalists and the readers will have a chance to vote for their favorite suggestion. The winner will receive their caption in a signed print by Diane.“

Posted May 18th, 2012The cloud was a little pricey…..
So we decided on the tree.
Well KIP – I think this new job at Keebler is going to be interesting. – Do you know where the cookie cabinet is?
Well…. they said it was io”anywhere” plus it’s that much closer to the cloud.
They say it’s got an “integrated carbon sequestration module.”

Posted May 18th, 2012So this is your idea for a green data center?
Leave it up to The Swiss Family Robinson to go invent the “data tree.” Why didn’t I think of this first!

Posted May 18th, 2012After the last tour, the customer said that we had to elevate our Data Center to a higher standard. Do you think this will do?

Posted May 19th, 2012Well Kip – when our Marketing Dept told us we needed to branch out with our Green Modular Data Centre idea, I don’t think they actually meant it in this way.

Posted May 19th, 2012Did you ever think we’d have a 10 teraflop treehouse?

Posted May 21st, 2012I’ll go out on a limb here and guess the C-Suite took “branching out” and “going Green” to heart.

Posted May 21st, 2012All we need is to cut out the branches to allow a solar panel to be installed … additional green credits yeah !!

Posted May 21st, 2012We didn’t want anyone to have root access…
