Roundup: Savvis, Terremark
Here are a couple of announcements this morning from data center service providers:
- CondeNet has consolidated its hosting infrastructure in a Savvis Inc. (SVVS) data center in New Jersey, the company said today. The move is intended to reduce CondeNet’s overall server count resulting in lower operating costs while improving the overall performance of its websites, which include Style.com, Epicurious.com, Concierge.com and Wired.com. Savvis is providing CondéNet with an IT infrastructure solution consisting of Managed Hosting Services, Virtual Utility Services and Application Transport Services (ATS).
- Terremark Worldwide (TMRK) has completed the deployment of its Infinistructure utility computing platform at the company’s new NAP of the Capital Region data center in Culpeper, Va., allowing it to offer its full suite of managed services from the facility. ”Offering our Enterprise Cloud services from multiple facilities enhances the flexibility of the offering for our customers and takes the idea of a ‘true cloud’ for IT infrastructure to the next level,” said Marvin Wheeler, Terremark’s Chief Operations Officer and U.S. Commercial Business Unit President.
