Nimsoft announced that Nimsoft Monitor has attained the VCE Vblock Ready certification. This enables users to leverage Nimsoft IT Management-as-a-Service capabilities to gain full visibility into their Vblock infrastructure — along with the rest of their cloud and non-cloud environments.
VCE was formed by Cisco and EMC with investments from VMware and Intel with the goal of developing converged infrastructure and cloud computing models. The Vblock platform presents a prepackaged, integrated IT offering.
Nimsoft Monitor
The Nimsoft Monitor solution monitors the Vblock Infrastructure Platform as a whole, which lets enterprises and service providers to quickly discover and address the root causes of issues that can adversely affect critical IT services. A growing number of partners and customers―including HCL, MSN Communications, and MTI Technology Europe―have chosen Nimsoft Monitor to simplify and optimize management of Vblock Infrastructure Platforms deployments.

Unified monitoring architecture
As a part of Nimsoft Unified Manager the Monitor product utilizes a multi-tenant, flexible and dynamic unified monitoring architecture, where IT staff members can transfer the monitoring of Vblock platform environments to one or more clients at any time through a single interface―without disruption or loss of data.Vblock monitoring helps by reducing downtime with proactive problem notification, intelligent event correlation, root-cause analysis for performance and availability problems, integrated monitoring of a Vblock's platform's resources with other cloud or traditional resources, and improving Vblock platform resource allocation with automatic notification of free or under-utilized resources.

Peer 1 selects Nimsoft
Nimsoft announced that PEER 1 Hosting, has deployed Nimsoft Unified Manager to provide its customers with comprehensive, effective and cost-efficient monitoring capabilities. Nimsoft Unified Manager is a multi-tenant IT Management-as-a-Service solution that combines infrastructure monitoring and ready-to-use ITIL-based service management capabilities. In the coming months, PEER 1 Hosting plans to make Nimsoft Unified Manager available for 8,500 customers. All customers will have the ability to upgrade the basic service to an advanced service that offers even greater flexibility to customize monitoring of applications, systems and network devices.
