The Gartner Data Center Conference 2010 drew more than 2,000 attendees to its keynotes, workshops and expo hall at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The hotel lobby at Caesars Palace was bedecked for the holidays when participants were checking into the hotel.

Standing-room only keynote addresses covered cloud computing, cost optimization, virtualization and other trends in IT operations and data center management.

The first day of the conference started off with Gartner's David Cappuccio describing the top trends in IT that will impact data center operations.
