The event included three days of presentations by Gartner experts as well as vendors and their clients. The conference organizers billed it as "everything you need to put your data center on the path to world-class performance."
Thomas Bittman from Gartner covered cloud computing and described the pros and cons of public, private and hybrid clouds.
Pulitzer-Prize winning author and columnist Dave Barry, gave a humorous keynote which included anecdotes on airport screening and a key principle of IT - keeping your cream cheese away from your hard drive.
From soup to nuts, the exhibit hall was filled with many vendors. From software to hardware and networking gear as well as data center retailers and wholesalers were on display and under discussion.
David Shepard of i/o Data Centers was on-hand at the company booth to speak with attendees about its Data Center as a Service offerings.
