There are 12 microturbines providing energy for the Syracuse data center.

The Syracuse data center is fully powered by a tri-generation system, which simultaneously generates power, heat and cooling. The facility uses 12 microturbines from Capstone, which are fueled by natural gas and can provide all of the facility's energy needs. The turbines generate electricity, while the hot exhaust is piped to the chiller room, where it is used to generate cooling for the servers and both heat and cooling for an adjacent office building.
