Green Enterprise IT Awards 2010 (Part 2)

The Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Awards are presented each year by The Uptime Institute to recognize projects, ideas, and products that significantly improve energy productivity and resource use in information technology. This year's awards were announced yesterday at the close of the first day of the Uptime Symposium 2010 in New York. Here are more photos of this year's winners, who received their awards from Uptime's Ken Brill and Lex Coors of Interxion, who organized the judging panel. See Page One if you have not already.

OUTSTANDING IT PRODUCT: Raritan was honored for its data center energy efficiency software. Accepting for Raritan is Herman Chan, director of Power Management Solutions at Raritan.

OUTSTANDING FACILITIES PRODUCT: Verizon Wireless was recognized for its intelligent cooling controls in its Orangeburg Data Center. Accepting for Verizon Wireless is Dennis Purcell (holding plaque) .

IT INNOVATION: The U.S. House of Representatives was honored for its IT optimization project.

JOINT IT AND FACILITIES INNOVATION: Itau Unibanco S.A. was recognized for a tool that integrated the IT and facilities departments for the bank.
