• Flying and Crashing Servers

    While some servers meet an explosive end, some technologists take a more hands-on approach to imposing end-of-life on their equipment. Here are two examples:

     

    Remember when David Letterman used to drop things off the top of a building to see what happens? This gentleman conducts a similar experiment with a server and a four-story parking garage.

    These guys from Tritech emphasize that when it comes to retiring their equipment, they “do it right.” Their method involves a small tractor and the determination to do a thorough job.
