• DataSite Orlando Opens 130,000SF Facility

    DataSite Orlando will open the first phase of a 130,000 square-foot purpose-built data center in Orlando, Florida which will begin installing tenants in September. DataSite Orlando, which is owned by Burges Property Co., is investing more than $26 million to upgrade the former AT&T facility. The company has hired Total Site Solutions to perform the upgrades and complete the first phase of mechanical and electrical infrastructure by the end of this month.

    “Data center space is very scarce in Central Florida, and the size of this facility makes it a unique asset for our community,” said Rob Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing for DataSite. “By expanding the infrastructure base for Central Florida’s high tech sector, DataSite Orlando will be a valuable tool in growing existing business and attracting new business to the region.”

  • E Solutions Expands Tampa Data Center

    E Solutions Corporation of Tampa has finished an expansion and upgrade of its data center space, which tripled in February with the acquisition of Genuity, Inc.’s Tampa assets. Since then, E Solutions has invested in renovations and upgrades to meet the Uptime Institute’s requirements for Tier III classification. The company said the improvements will help it pursue business with companies with high-availability requirements such as financial, healthcare and news organizations, as well as technology-based and VoIP companies, emergency and other government agencies.

    The firm’s marquee clients include St. Louis Cardinals, who just won the 2006 World Series. “We are happy to know that our intellectual capital is hosted and protected in one of the nation’s premier hardened facilities,” said Cardinals Vice President and Assistant General Manager John Mozeliak. “E Solutions has been a trusted development and hosting partner since 2003, and we are glad to be counted among the current clients in their new data center.”
