Cloud migration and onboarding services provider BitTitan has entered into a reseller agreement with 21VianetGroup on Wednesday, offering its cloud-based mailbox and data migration solution MigrationWiz to Chinese resellers.

21Vianet is the official operator of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure in mainland China, and BitTitan says its partnership will help push adoption of Office 365 in the region. 21Vianet recently announced that it has extended its partnership with Microsoft, and will continue to offer Microsoft’s cloud in China, including Azure and Office 365, into 2018.

MigrationWiz is offered as part of 21Vianet’s Cloud Computing Services through its MS Cloud Business Unit, which provides Azure and Office 365 cloud services for enterprises and individual customers.

According to a statement, 21Vianet required a simple migration solution that eliminated complexities of moving data and mailboxes to the cloud. BitTitan’s automated migration satisfies this need, making the move to the cloud without disrupting the customer’s business. Customer disruption and outages can be a huge challenge for migrating to the cloud if not planned properly.

“Our goal is to make the transition to the cloud easy for resellers and the companies in the Chinese market and worldwide. Our partnership with 21Vianet is a major stepping stone in helping us reach this goal,” Geeman Yip, CEO of BitTitan said in a statement. “With MigrationWiz, 21Vianet’s partners and their customers can focus on their business, as opposed to worrying about wasting resources and losing files that too often come with a move to the cloud.”

In November, BitTitan updated the user interface of its MigrationWiz tool. It also introduced new auto-discovery features, improved sorting and filtering, and supports the migration of an unlimited number of users of one project with a single click.

“BitTitan is gaining a worldwide reputation for its understanding of the unique needs and immense opportunities involved with the move to Office 365 and the cloud,” said Wing-Dar Ker, president of MS Cloud Business Unit at 21Vianet. “By partnering with BitTitan, 21Vianet can offer the customers a cloud platform with rich leading cloud solutions and world-class local support, providing a major value add for both the Chinese reseller channel and customers.”

21Vianet raised $296 million in December as investors look to capitalize on the growing Chinese hosting market.
