Gartner held its 31st annual data center conference at The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The Monday evening opening of the trade show floor brought out many folks to walk about and browse the booths. (Photo by Colleen Miller.)

During the Gartner Data Center Conference in Las Vegas this week, participants attended sessions on foundational and emerging technologies, heard from leading analysts on the future of technology and strolled the exhibit hall, meeting peers and vendors in the data center space. Keynotes included topics as What will happen in the next 5 years? Rethinking Infrastructure and Operations to Dramatically Reduce Costs, and DevOps: Rethinking IT Operations.
