Friday Funny: Bubbling Servers
November 23rd, 2012 By: Colleen Miller
It’s Friday! Although it’s a holiday week in the United States, there’s always a good time for humor. Here’s a new cartoon from our fav data center artist Diane Alber.
She writes got this from an article that Rich Miller wrote recently, 3M Demos New Immersion Cooling Technique. The article stated, “At last week’s Data Center World conference, 3M demonstrated a data center cooling concept called ‘open bath immersion cooling,’ which it says is simpler and less expensive to implement than other pumped liquid cooling techniques.” Diane says: “When I heard ‘open bath immersion’ I knew I had to do a comic about it.”
And here it is! Enter your caption suggestions below.
How The Contest Works
Here’s how it works: We provide the cartoon (drawn by Diane) and you, our readers, submit the captions. We then choose finalists and the readers vote for their favorite funniest suggestion. The winner will receive their caption in a signed print by Diane.
Submit your captions in our comments!

That’s not how you fix a mac server… You throw it in fire, it’s the only way to get rid of the crapple daemons.
You’ll have to throw those babies out with the bahtwater, Kip.

That’s not what they meant by a “soak test”.
