The Data Center Knowledge team was on hand for this week’s Data Center World Fall 2012 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Conference Center in Nashville. Here’s a recap of some of the presentations and expo hall.
Data Centers: The Front Line in Information Warfare - Corporate data centers are the front line in an escalating battle between electronic attackers and defenders, and must be vigilant about defending their perimeter, cybersecurity guru Winn Schwartau told industry managers in his keynote address this morning at the Data Center World Fall 2012 conference. That’s especially true for leading cloud computing data centers, he said.
Highlights from Data Center World - After kicking off Sunday with virtual data center tours and workshops, the fall edition of AFCOM Data Center World continued Monday as data center managers from around the country gathered to hear speakers and participate in discussions with peers.
Data Center World: Scenes from the Expo Hall - Guided by end-user feedback, this year’s Expo Hall hours were more than doubled to allow for increased access to all of the latest technology from the top partners in the data center field.
Watch for more coverage this week, including videos from some of our booth visits and interviews at the conference.
