Data Center World Convenes in Music City

At the 3M booth in the AFCOM Data Center World Expo Hall, a television is running (playing a black and white Western) while submerged in 3M Novec Engineered Fluid. The non-conductive fluid is being used to remove heat from servers in the data center, thus reducing or eliminating the need for CRAC units. (Photo by Colleen Miller).

The AFCOM Data Center World Conference and Expo hit Nashville on Sunday and continues through Wednesday. More than 600 participants have the opportunity to hear from their peers and experts on the subjects of data center management, cloud computing, disaster recovery, facilities management and other topics. Our photo feature, Scenes from Data Center World Fall 2012, provides Data Center Knowledge readers with highlights from the conference.
