Emerson Network Power Offers On-Site Managers - Emerson Network Power has launched Mosaic Site Services, which provides an on-site facilities manager with the technical expertise to handle all infrastructure service needs within a data center. Mosaic Site Services, currently available to customers in the United States, enables enterprise data center managers to take advantage of expertise from Emerson Network Power. The on-site managers are trained to manage critical support services;optimize space, power and cooling capacity; maximize efficiency; and reduce costs.
Siemon Adds Angled Patch Panels to its MapIT G2 Line - Siemon has added new angled Smart Patch Panels (SPP) to their full MapIT G2 intelligent infrastructure management (IIM) solution. Designed to help network and data center professionals manage, monitor and secure their physical IT infrastructures, the MapIT G2 system integrates a intelligent connectivity, user-friendly Master Control Panels and MapIT software to provide real-time tracking and reporting of network-wide physical layer activity. The 24-port, 1 rack-mount space (U) angled design of the new SPP allows patch cords to be routed directly into vertical cable managers, eliminating the need for additional horizontal cable managers and saving valuable rack space and maximizing data center density.
Polargy Introduces Tool-Less Blanking Panels - Polargy, Inc., a leading provider of hot and cold aisle containment for the data center, has introduced PolarSnap Quick Install Tool-Less Blanking Panels.
The panels' "Hook-Swing-Snap" design enables installation and removal without tools, providing data center operators with improved flexibility in server rack maintenance. Installation consists simply of sliding a panel's pivot pins into a rack's mounting rail holes and snapping slide tabs at the opposite side of the panel into the opposing rail. A gasket on the panel seals against the vertical rail, preventing leakage of hot exhaust air. "The primary reason data center operators cite for failing to install blanking panels is the hassle of installation," said President Cary Frame. "This new design makes blanking panel installation quick and easy, and gives racks a clean and professional appearance."
Everest Broadband Expands with Telx at 60 Hudson - Everest Broadband Networks is expanding its services via Telx’s data center at 60 Hudson Street in New York City. The tactical deployment will provide Everest BBN’s customers access to Telx’s carrier-neutral facility and enable Everest BBN to provide additional services to Telx’s clients. "By leveraging Telx’s interconnection area it reduces barriers and allows us to streamline our multiple communications offerings. It also provides our customers with another option for accessing Telx’s broad ecosystem of clients,” said Michael Panayiotis, owner, Everest BBN. “60 Hudson provides us with the ability to meet the current and future communications needs of our customers, whether it is conferencing, broadband or managed support.”
