Noam Wasserman, a professor at Harvard Business School and author of the book titled "The Founder’s Dilemmas: Anticipating and Avoiding the Pitfalls That Can Sink a Startup," is this year's opening keynote. Wasserman, who for more than a decade has focused on founders’ early decisions that can make or break the start-up and its team, developed and currently teaches an MBA elective “Founders’ Dilemmas.” In his class and book, Wasserman draws on more than a decade of research into the most common pitfalls faced by the founders of technology startups. He integrates data collected from 10,000 founders with the inside of stories of three dozen founders, including Evan Williams (Blogger and Twitter) and Tim Westergren (Pandora Radio), to provide insights into how decisions made early in a business’s life can affect its success. In a keynote presentation, Wasserman will address early equity decisions, investment dilemmas, and the conflict between wealth and control.

The second day keynote is Eric Hanselman, a 20-year tech industry veteran and current Research Director at 451 Research (operators of Uptime Institute.) On the final day, a panel of key legislative decision makers will discuss the topic of “Legislating for the Global Good: How We Can Help Lawmakers Understand the Internet.” Panel participants include technology advisers to U.S. Congress, and public policy counsel from Google and the Consumer Electronics Association.

The event includes:
