Latisys powers Horizon private cloud: Latisys announced an IT infrastructure services agreement with Horizon Technology, an internationally recognized independent distributor of information, storage and display products. The Horizon cloud-based desktop as a service (DaaS) enables businesses and resellers to centrally deploy and manage virtual desktops with legacy applications and data from the Horizon cloud console in a matter of minutes. Horizon will receive data center hosting, power, and bandwidth from Latisys’ high density SOC 2 and SOC 3 audited data center in Irvine, California. Future plans call for an additional footprint to service customer profiles in the East and Mid-West including a deployment in Chicago to support business growth. “Horizon Private Cloud is keeping customers from getting lost in a cloud of generic competing services,” said General Manager Robert Christiansen of Horizon Technology. “Latisys is a trusted business partner and works closely with us to deploy the hosted Horizon Private Cloud service that delivers a comprehensive, scalable desktop services for companies who can’t risk cobbling together a cloud solution that doesn’t even address their legacy apps.”
CoreLink selected by Argus Healthcare Solutions: CoreLink Data Centers announced the addition of Argus Healthcare Solutions to its growing client roster. From its Chicago data center CoreLink will provide Argus with a full suite of transparent data center hosting services. With numerous regulatory responsibilities Argus looked to CoreLink to provide 24/7 support, a 100 percent uptime service level agreement that guarantees continuous network connectivity and robust power and environmental features. “Our customers trust in our ability to enhance the value of their businesses, which is a key part of our business model and mission,” said Vijay Singh, President and CEO of Argus. “We looked at a number of offerings; it soon became clear that, unlike most, CoreLink, in addition to its growing healthcare presence, delivers an unsurpassed level of transparent and redundant data center services that also include unmatched power backup capabilities."
Peak 10 selected by Proxios: Peak 10 announced that it is providing data center services to Proxios, an IT systems provider that delivers turnkey office technology solutions using cloud computing technology. From its Richmond Virginia data center Peak 10 will support the Proxios IT infrastructure via rack space, power and cooling. For more than 10 years Proxios has been delivering virtual Windows desktops and Windows-based applications (HVDs) integrated with email, desktop faxing and VoIP telephony solutions. “Hosting our mission-critical infrastructure at Peak 10 allows us to experience secure data center services and reliable support from the company’s very knowledgeable team,” said Frank Butler, president of Proxios. “We believe that our interests and Peak 10’s interests are congruent: both companies are delivering reliable, cost-effective and impeccably-supported technology solutions so customers can focus on core business activities that maximize revenue, profit and stakeholder value.”
zColo Deploys First Communications at 60 Hudson - zColo, a Zayo Group Company, announces it will provide carrier-neutral interconnection and colocation services for First Communications, which offers metro and long-haul fiber network services across the United States. zColo will deploy First Communications equipment directly into the Meet-Me-Room at 60 Hudson Street, a major telecom hub in Manhattan. "As the exclusive manager and operator of the 60 Hudson St. 'Meet-Me-Room,' zColo offers First Communications the opportunity to connect with major operator networks," said Rick Poore, President of First Communications. "First Communications is looking forward to being a part of the 60 Hudson community, as well as expanding the number of providers available to our customers."
