Telx Adds Private Clouds for Colo Customers

Telx wants to make it easier for its colocation customers to run private cloud infrastructure. So today the company announced a strategic alliance with Appcore, which specializes in private cloud services for enterprises. Under the terms of the deal, Appcore’s turnkey private hosted cloud solution will be available to the 1,000 colocation customers in the 17 Telx Cloud Connection Centers (C3) via the Telx Cloud Xchange.

Appcore delivers Infrastructure-as-a-Service technology to telcos, data centers, fiber rings, and enterprises to enable Public (service provider) and Private (enterprise) Cloud environments. The company’s Appcore Onsite product provides an integrated stack of hardware and software systems designed to be “roll-in ready” for deployment in data centers, accelerating customers’ ability to build cloud environments.

Through the alliance, Appcore is able to leverage Telx’s national footprint to deliver solutions rapidly into new markets.
