Today’s media companies have enormous storage and processing needs for multimedia files. Attend, a provider of cloud services for media, selected CloudSigma to support its MediaCloud product, which is an online media storage and collaboration environment as well as its Content Ingest Network, which offers accelerated media file upload.
Professionals in the advertising, broadcasting and film industries often work with very large files of high-resolution, longer-form content. Because these files can get so large – often times reaching hundreds of GBs if not TBs on a single project – the upload and download times and transcoding process can become very lengthy, delaying productivity and production.
While Attend’s cloud services helps media professionals overcome these issues, they require a very robust supporting infrastructure to sustain the applications high-performance needs, both for input and output, and processing.
