Telehouse Buys Renewable Power for Docklands  - Telehouse today announced that it’s London Docklands data centre site, which houses the IT infrastructure of almost 500 major international organisations, now purchases 100 per cent renewable energy from SmartestEnergy. The energy purchased by Telehouse is generated by projects throughout the UK using a variety of sources including wind, solar, hydropower and anaerobic digestion. “The biggest challenge we face at Telehouse is to improve our energy efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint, and in order to support this challenge Telehouse has worked closely with industry leading partners and regulators,” said Tokuji Mitsui, managing director of Telehouse and KDDI Europe. “We are committed to our environmental responsibilities and continue to work to align our business strategy with our green ethics wherever possible.”
nScaled Selects Equinix for Cloud DR Expansion  – nScaled is leveraging Equinix data centers in London and Ashburn to deliver its hybrid cloud and disaster recovery services to customers. nScaled has also opened a storefront in the Equinix Marketplace to promote and sell its services to the more than 4,000 potential customers that are on Platform Equinix, the company said today. “For nScaled to deliver enterprise-class cloud infrastructure to our risk-averse customers, it’s vital that we build our Remote Cloud data centers in the best available co-location facilities,” said Mark Hadfield, CEO at nScaled. “In addition to providing world-class IBX facilities, Equinix also has the global reach we need as we expand our business worldwide.”
Mitchell International Hosts at AIS  – American Internet Services (AIS) announced that Mitchell International, a leading provider of IT solutions to the Property & Casualty claims and Collision Repair industries, has recently completed its move into the AIS Enterprise-Class, Lightwave Data Center. “AIS proposed an ideal solution for us right here in our back yard with the connectivity, flexible power and security we needed, plus we’d be able to maintain the control of the data center as though it were in-house,” said Erez Nir, CTO at Mitchell International.
MedHub Picks Online Tech for Colo  – MedHub, a healthcare software company providing services to large academic teaching hospitals, has partnered with Online Tech for HIPAA compliant colocation services. “Partnering with Online Tech lets us utilize their technical expertise and experience operating HIPAA compliant data centers,” says Peter Orr, MedHub President. “We can focus on servicing our customers and not using our resources to manage a HIPAA compliant data center.”
