Executive News: CyrusOne adds Duckett as new CEO, Jones joins NxGen Modular, Active Power hires Foley as VP of Engineering, Dougherty joins RagingWire.

CyrusOne Adds Duckett as New COO: CyrusOne, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell, has hired Michael Duckett as the company’s new chief operating officer. Before joining CyrusOne, Duckett served as the president and COO of CoreLink Data Centers, and also held a senior vice president of operations position at Terremark Worldwide, where he was responsible for the colocation, hosting, and network business lines. Duckett will oversee daily operations activities as the company looks to aggressively expand its business. "Michael will help us continue to accelerate and expand CyrusOne’s business with Fortune 1000 customers," said Gary Wojtaszek, president of CyrusOne. "He has both the operations and technical experience that is essential for successfully managing the day-to-day operations at a company that is moving as quickly as CyrusOne."

Brett Jones Joins NxGen Modular - NxGen Modular has named Brett Jones as its vice president of sales and business development. Jones has experience overseeing sales and client relationships for technology companies such as Latisys, Globix Corporation and Exodus Communications. "As an expert in data centers, collocation and cloud computing, Brett understands our ever-evolving industry and changing market demands,” said NxGen president and chief executive officer Liz Fetter.

Active Power Hires Foley as VP of Engineering - Active Power has hired Noel Foley as vice president of Engineering. Foley will lead the team of engineers and developers responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and continuous power and infrastructure solutions. “Noel’s proven track record of developing innovative power solutions in domestic and international markets will be an important contributor to the company’s success,” said Jan Lindelow, interim president and CEO, Active Power. Most recently, Foley served as vice president of Engineering for SolarBridge Technologies, a provider of integrated microinverter technologies for the solar industry.

Dougherty Joins RagingWire - RagingWire Data Centers announced recently that William Dougherty is joining the company's executive team as vice president of Information Technology. He will be responsible for RagingWire's Operations Control Center (OCC), IT architecture, service delivery and software development staff. Previously, Dougherty was the director of site operations at StubHub, an eBay company, the world's largest online ticket marketplace.
