Report: Apple Has Spent $750M on iDataCenter

A new analysis by 9to5mac suggests that Apple has already spent as much as $750 million on the iDataCenter, the company's 500,000 square foot data center in Maiden, North Carolina..

When Apple announced its plans for a huge data center in North Carolina, the company said it intended to spend $1 billion on the facility in the next nine years. The timetable used a timetable included in a package of economic development incentives that helped sway Apple's decision to build in Maiden, N.C. instead of a rival site in Virginia.
