Data center incident won't delay TDS expansion project - TDS says a malfunction in a piece of equipment Sunday night that brought fire crews to the addition being built onto its Fitchburg data center will not delay completion of the project. Employees were testing a backup power unit for use in the expanded Team Cos. data center, 5515 Nobel Drive, when the unit overheated, TDS spokeswoman DeAnne Boegli said. The incident created smoke but no flames, she said, and did not knock out customer service in the existing data center.
