Funny Friday: Data Center Cartoon Caption Contest

Today, we launch a cartoon caption contest for a cartoon in a series about life in the data center. We challenge our readers to submit a funny statement for the thought bubble in one of Diane Alber's cartoons.

Diane Alber, the Arizona artist who created Kip and Gary, a cartoon that's all about the data center, is partnering with Data Center Knowledge on a cartoon caption contest. We featured her work last month and Kip and Gary proved popular with our readers. Alber's series on data center life includes over-filled racks, colored cabinets, data center mishaps, and communication problems between facilities and IT staff. Today, we present a video that provides a look at Diane's process as she creates the cartoon, with a time-lapse view. Below is the final cartoon with the blank bubble - with the caption to be provided by you. We challenge our readers to submit a funny thought for the bubble. Send submissions to [email protected] The winner will receive a signed print of the cartoon from the artist!
