Global Payments Inc. Chooses QTS PowerBank – QTS (Quality Technology Services) has been selected by Global Payments Inc., a leader in electronic payment processing services, for enterprise data center services in QTS’ Atlanta Metro Data Center. “QTS offered Global Payments a collaborative approach to designing a custom data center solution to meet our specific needs,” said Guido Sacchi, chief information officer – Global Payments. “The PowerBank product will allow us to change our power commitments during the term of our contract while still providing the stable, redundant and secure environment necessary to support our business.” PowerBank offers clients the opportunity to contract for of the power and space they expect to need, with options to scale back footprint and better align spending and infrastructure utilization in the event of unforeseen business changes.
Cotendo Quadruples Customer Base With Equinix – Cotendo, a provider of cloud-based web and mobile acceleration technologies, has leveraged its global presence within Equinix’s data centers to quadruple its customer base and successfully deliver on the promise of its Mobile Acceleration Suite (MAS). Launched earlier this year, Cotendo’s MAS dramatically boosts delivery of mobile websites and applications. Since joining the Equinix platform in 2009, Cotendo has drawn upon the standardization, consistency and inter-connections within Equinix International Business Exchange data centers to significantly grow its North American and international customer base and expand its service footprint. SoftLayer Offers Microsoft WebMatrix – SoftLayer Technologies said today that the company is making the Microsoft WebMatrix development platform available to Microsoft Windows Server 2008 users. WebMatrix is an all-inclusive, free tool that includes everything developers need to create, customize, and publish websites. “Microsoft WebMatrix provides SoftLayer customers an easy-to-use, all-in-one solution for Web development,” said Andrew Maten, Vice President of IS Windows Systems for SoftLayer. “The WebMatrix platform was designed to streamline Web development environments—simply and easily integrating a suite of development applications.
