Logicalis is the latest company to adopt a modular data center model, deploying its enterprise cloud computing platform in an i/o Any where module at the i/o Phoenix data center, the company said today. UK-based
Logicalis [1] provides IT outsourcing solutions from HP, IBM, Microsoft and Cisco, and said it chose the modular approach for its deployment speed and ease of expansion.
“i/o is rewriting the book in fast IT infrastructure deployment,” said Bob Mobach, Data Center Director at Logicalis. “From the day we signed our contract to when our modular data center was ready took less than one month. i/o Anywhere is providing us an enterprise-class digital energy solution to help us meet customer demand today and also allows us to expand quickly to support business growth.”
i/o Anywhere [2] is a family of modular data center components that can create and deploy a fully-configured enterprise data center within 120 days. i/o is using the i/o Anywhere modules as its primary method of deploying customers in the secnd phase of its huge Phoenix data center.

The company currently operates two data centers in the Phoenix market – a 125,000 square foot site in Scottsdale and the 538,000 square foot
i/o Phoenix [3]. It has just opened a data center in New Jersey that will be the
world’s largest modular data center [4]. The company has also announced plans for a site in Singapore.
