Tier 3 Opens Data Centers with Equinix in Chicago, Ashburn - Enterprise cloud platform provider Tier 3 today announced the Fall 2011 opening of two new data centers within Equinix International Business Exchange (IBX) facilities in Chicago and Ashburn, Va. Tier 3 selected Equinix for the company’s enterprise-grade connectivity, global presence and carrier-neutral environment, which will enable Tier 3 to better meet demand for secure, hybrid clouds in the enterprise. The data center in Chicago opens September 1, with the one in Ashburn opening in early Q4. “An increasing number of enterprises are actively identifying apps they can move to the public cloud,” said Adam Wray, CEO, Tier 3. “Equinix IBX facilities extend Tier 3’s enterprise cloud story by providing a key component our clients need for their hybrid production apps — a single, secure, performance-optimized connection." Liquid Litigation Colos With Data Foundry - Liquid Litigation Management, a provider of web-based litigation tools, has selected Data Foundry's Austin data center for colocation and Internet connectivity. Data Foundry's fully redundant and secure data center will support LLM's mission critical internal operations servers and its core business data infrastructure. Liquid Litigation serves a large number of AmLaw 100 legal and Fortune 100 business firms. Liquid Litigation's Lit Manager offers a Web-based application that enables users to review discovery, produce, and manage related daily case materials through a single interface. CoreSite Completes AASE Audits at 11 Data Centers - CoreSite Realty Corporation (NYSE: COR) has completed a SSAE 16 Type 2 audit covering eleven operational data centers. SSAE 16 is designed to provide CoreSite data center customers with a level of assurance of corporate controls and will replace existing SAS 70 Type 1 and Type 2 audit reports. BrightLine, a licensed CPA firm, conducted the CoreSite SSAE 16 audit over the twelve-month period ending June 30, 2011. SSAE 16 is an attestation standard issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that reports on CoreSite controls supporting the services provided to customers. CoreSite management developed internal control objectives to support first-class data center management services that were used to complete the audit.

JouleX Partners With Triton Federal Solutions - JouleX, which develops enterprise energy management systems for data centers, today announced that it entered into an agreement with Triton Federal Solutions, a Project Performance Corporation (PPC) company, to implement and integrate the JouleX Energy Manager (JEM) technology for commercial and federal customers that want to reduce their energy savings three fold. Triton implements JouleX to automatically monitor and control the dynamic energy consumption of all devices across an enterprise and to populate energy and utilization information into a customer's decision-support systems. The companies have already begun work within the Department of Energy to measure, manage and evaluate energy usage in its data centers. From press release.

Neutral Tandem launches HD Voice Interconnect - Neutral Tandem (Nasdaq:TNDM), a leading provider of global interconnection services, announces the launch of HD Voice Interconnect. Neutral Tandem solves the problem of non-interconnected 'islands of HD' by providing easy access to other HD carriers interconnected with Neutral Tandem, and adds incremental value to carrier investments in IP networks and Voice over IP (VoIP) services. The service has been successfully interconnected with 8x8, Inc., which announced its own ability to deliver HD Calling to business phone service subscribers in January 2010. From press release.
