• It’s SysAdmin Appreciation Day!

Did you remember the cake for your sysadmin? (Source: SysAdminDay.com).

It’s the last Friday in July, which means it’s System Administrator Appreciation Day! Here’s an overview from the SysAdminDay.com web site: “Let’s face it, System Administrators get no respect 364 days a year. This is the day that all fellow System Administrators across the globe, will be showered with expensive sports cars and large piles of cash in appreciation of their diligent work. But seriously, we are asking for a nice token gift and some public acknowledgement. It’s the least you could do.”

To get into the spirit of things, start your day by checking out Advice to employees on the proper use of the System Administrator’s valuable time.

    A pox on this!
Helpdesk technician get less respect then Sys Admins.
If I had a nickel everytime a Sys Admin blew me off with “it works on my machine” as a solution to a problem that multiple users are having, I’d make Steven Jobs look like a fat pauper.
