Brocade Confirms $2.1 Million PG&E Incentive

Brocade (BRCD) today confirmed that it has received the largest data center energy efficiency incentive in PG&E history with an incentive of $2.1 million. In this video, Brocade's Michael Hirahara discusses the PG&E award and associated energy savings.

Brocade today confirmed that it has received the largest data center energy efficiency incentive in Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) history with an incentive of $2.1 million under PG&E’s Non-Residential New Construction Program. "PG&E is pleased to have partnered with Brocade to set a new standard for campus and data center energy efficiency," said Steve Malnight, vice president of customer energy solutions for PG&E, which estimates that Brocade will save more than 14 million kilowatt-hours each year. That translates into annual savings of more than $1.5 million and a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by 5,700 tons annually. The PG&E award was first discussed last fall when Brocade hosted an industry event. In addition, the Brocade San Jose headquarters has been awarded LEED Commercial Interiors Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
