What were the hot topics at the recent International Supercomputing Conference 2011 in Hamburg, Germany? The headlines and trends were were debated at the Analyst Crossfire panel, in which moderator Addison Snell of Intersect 360 Research interviewed four supercomputing experts. The panel included Michael Resch of HPCC Stuttgart, Satoshi Matsuoka from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Andrew Jones from the Numerical Algorithms Group and Jean-Marc Denis of Bull. Among the topics: Does it matter which county a supercomputer is located in? Will exascale computing come to pass, and is the focus on exascale justified? This video runs 30 minutes.
