Here’s a roundup of some of this week’s headlines from the data center and hosting industry:

Interxion and Partners Launch Cloud Testlab.  Interxion (INXN) together with,Microsoft, KPN International, NL-ix and HP announced the launch of the Cloud Testlab, a turnkey cloud hosting test environment for service providers, combining industry-leading software, systems, connectivity and colocation capabilities.  The Microsoft Dynamic Data Center (DDC) Toolkit for Hosters will be the first platform deployed in the Testlab.  Testlab combines servers, storage and network as a single, shared-service environment. "Creating this test platform enables hosting partners to take the first step for customers moving to the cloud," said Andrew Lund, EMEA Director, Business Services Operator Channels at Microsoft.  "Through Microsoft Hyper-V technology, service provider customers can manage all of their physical and virtual resources from a single set of integrated management utilities."

AIS Deploys Nirvanix Cloud Storage Solution. American Internet Services (AIS) announced the addition of enterprise Cloud Archiving to its portfolio of managed services. e-CloudArchive takes the headache and expense out of data archiving. e-CloudArchive is powered by the Nirvanix Hybrid Cloud Storage solution, designed specifically for customers with expectations of extreme security, reliability and redundancy levels. "One of the key reasons we've partnered with AIS is that their data centers have a solid reputation for robust power architecture, security, network high-availability and network redundancy which is ideal for our enterprise-grade cloud storage as a service solution," said Scott Genereux, president and CEO of Nirvanix. "But more importantly, it's the professional services, service delivery and client services teams at AIS that clearly differentiate our joint solution in the market place for cloud archival solutions."

TelecityGroup recognized from EU Code of Conduct. TelecityGroup announced that they have won the European Commission Directorate General Joint Research Centre’s (JRC) ‘Corporate Level EU Code of Conduct For Data Centres’ award.  The award was received at the Data Centres 2011 event in Nice, and recognizes TelecityGroup's industry-leading role in driving environmental best practice through advocacy of the Code. TelecityGroup is the first to achieve Corporate Status and the first to have all its data centres audited to the recently updated version of the Code.
