Data Centre World, the UK’s largest event for server room and data centre managers, is anticipated to be bigger and more diverse than its previous iterations, according to its organizers, the Turret Group. Started in 2008, the organizers are taking this year’s event to the National Hall at Olympia in London, on 2-3 March 2011

This year one of the featured speakers is Lex Coors, Interxion’s VP Data Centre Technology and Engineering Group, who will be presenting on “Next Generation Data Centres.” He plans to outline the key forecasted trends of data centre design and operation over the next 5 to 10 years, and will be covering all elements of the data centre industry, from what’s driving the marketplace to the new innovative technologies. Also, he will discuss how computing trends such as the cloud and hyper-connectivity are shaping the future design of the data centre.

Strong Attendance in Down Economy

Last year, Data Centre World 2010 attracted nearly 3,000 attendees over the 2 days in February (a 35% increase on the 2009 event).

Previous Data Centre World events have drawn many visitors to the show who were impressed by the variety of stands, quality of the speakers and panel sessions. Visitors’ reasons for attending were many and varied and included to find new suppliers, to see new product launches and to network with colleagues.

Registration is free, however speakers and panels book quickly. See Data Centre World registration page.
