• Facebook Seeking NC Data Center Manager

Here’s a high-profile position for an experienced industry professional: Facebook is seeking a Senior Data Center Operations Manager to run the $450 million data center the company is building in Forest City, North Carolina. This position will be responsible for establishing and  managing the data center operations team and managing the day to day operations of the facility.

The data center near Forest City in Rutherford County will be Facebook’s second company-built data center, following on the facility now being completed in Prineville, Oregon. The 300,000 square foot data center is expected to create more than 250 construction and mechanical jobs during its 18-month building phase. When construction is completed, the data center will employ around 35-45 full-time and contract workers. See the Shelby Star for more on Facebook’s local hiring and how it has been received in the community.
