A screen shot from a Go Daddy video offering a look inside the data centers that manage 44 million domains for the registrar.
It takes a lot of servers to operate the world’s largest domain registrar and web hosting company.
Go Daddy manages more than 44 million domains for its 8.6 million customers, and has become widely known for its edgy Super Bowl commercials. But the Scottsdale, Ariz. company doesn’t talk much about its infrastructure. Go Daddy has lifted the curtain a bit with a new video that offers an overview of its data center operations, with an emphasis on the security of its infrastructure. The company says it operates a “vast number” of data centers and several hundred thousand square feet of space. This video runs about 1 minute, 45 seconds.
