Sabey Data Center Properties has obtained SAS 70 Type II certification for its Intergate.East Building 5 and for SDC52, a 7.5 megawatt Sabey-managed module inside Building 5. The audit evaluated the effectiveness of the company’s operational controls throughout a six month process of testing, sampling, and documentation review by a certified auditor, the accounting firm of Moss Adams.
“The SAS 70 Type II certification is an affirmation of our team’s dedication to best practices and the expertise and commitment to the security and reliability of our tenants’ critical systems – we consider it an essential investment,” said John Sabey, President of Sabey Data Center Properties. The Type II audit included security, access control, fire suppression, cooling, electrical, controls, operating procedures, and capacity planning. Sabey endeavors to certify each data center that it develops, owns, or operates.
“Our continual objective is to design and operate the critical infrastructure and physical security programs in a repeatable, professional manner,” said John Sasser, head of Data Center Operations. “This recognition is the result of diligent planning and hard work by our staff and partners.”
SAS No. 70, also known as the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70, was created and is maintained by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to help customers know that their data center provider has effective internal controls in place.
