Cooling continues to be a major challenge for data center operators. The densely-spaced, high-speed hardware that provides the computing power to enable a variety of data center operations places significant demands on data center cooling and power systems. Traditional air cooling approaches make it difficult for data center operators to optimize data center real estate, since they do not deliver adequate cooling unless equipment is spaced far apart.
