When QTS announced its acquisition of a 1.2 million square foot facility in Richmond, Virginia for conversion into a data center, it renewed a debate that has been repeated with the unveiling of each new colossal server farm.

Who has the world’s largest data center? We’ve seen a lot of huge data centers in our travels, and have put together a special report identifying 10 that we believe are the largest found anywhere. These data fortresses range between 400,000 and 1 million square feet.
